Children
adopt the
dominant
mental attitudes
in their environments if they are not taught to listen to their inner guidance.
Children require teachings
that enable them to become aware of universal laws. They need
to come to be alive (believe, be alive) to the truth that their lives can
be affected by their thoughts. They need to be encouraged to consider the
importance and effect of love in life. Tell them good stories you make
up as you go along.
Guidance appears in the form of a question as
to what is in front of the child's conscious mind to consider as it lives
each day. Those involved with the child should teach it to become aware
of this guidance by asking of the child, at a relaxed time, possibly after
an evening meal or prior to bedtime, what the child has done today. Do
not interrogate
but do probe to stimulate the child's thinking. Find out what the child
thought about what was experienced in his or her day today. This should
take place in a joyous happy relaxed atmosphere.
The child should be taught to focus on questions
during the day as experiences are encountered, when they come to mind,
and not to hastily
allow attention to wander elsewhere. This process enables clear seeing
and selection of those things which make up personality.
