Other
people's perceptions
of you are limited. Do not fret
over them. Wish others the best, no matter how you are treated.
You can only be affected
by hate if you hate in return. The ancients told us that those who love
the law have great peace and nothing shall offend them.
If your whole being is immersed
in love and seeks to express only love, how could you be offended? How
could you even offend?
When
you realize others are at different points along the journey of eternity,
it helps you to love.
If others are opposing themselves
by acting in a vituperative
and caustic
manner, they desperately need love's effect.
When you see people who have
these repulsive characteristics in their personality make-up, try as best
you can to see them as they once were, little children having grown up
deprived
of the praise, affection, attention and teachings of wisdom that could
have made them so different. It is then easier to have feelings of love
for them.
